Sign-Up Now for Adult Cooking Classes!

 

The CHEF Teaching Kitchen at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio is offering classes open to the Collins Garden and Lone Star communities! Located at the Mays Family Clubhouse, 123 Ralph Ave, San Antonio, TX 78204, the kitchen is led by Registered Dietitian Rachel Brownlee Kurita.

 

Join Rachel for hands-on culinary health classes for adults!
Learn to prepare simple, healthy recipes while enhancing your nutrition knowledge.

Cooking for the Management of Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes

Taught in small groups of 4 - 8 people, this class is tailored to teach participants about important foods in blood sugar management, building a healthy plate, and strategies for planning and preparing delicious, affordable meals. Taught in a series of four lessons.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturdays, April 7, April 14, May 5, & May 19

Healthy Cooking Techniques

Eat well and nourish your body every day! Each of five classes focuses on how to get the best nutrition from a different key food group. The classes teach a balanced approach to eating, and cooking skills that will get you started chopping and sautéing in your home kitchen.
Join us for one or all five sessions!     $5 per session per person, paid at class
